World: The Mexican drug cartel battle leads to a grisly find

  • 5 human heads were found in ice chests in central Mexico source

Grisly but not unexpected. It would be nice if the drug dealers down there would just kill each other off but nothing will change until the market changes and WE are the market. It is the illicit drug consumers inside the United States that have created this war and the drug need that fuels it. Why do we take drugs? There’s no reason why, we just do, like pigs feeding at a trough. It’s on us to end the consumption of drugs, nobody else.

There is something to be said for not succumbing to weakness. Whatever drives someone to take that first hit of drugs can be countered. Peer pressure, fear, curiosity, boredom — none of it is worth what it leads to, a downward spiral in your life. You can come out of a violent alcoholic family and be a non-drinking, non-smoking, non-drugtaking ordinary person with some kind of backbone and interest in life. It might be hard but the alternative turns out to be much worse. See yourself as an entity worth saving for yourself.
