U.S.: The controversial military rule on pregnancy lasted less than a week

  • Well, that didn’t last long, guys. It’s a Christmas miracle! Just days after news broke about Maj. Gen. Anthony Cucolo’s new rule on pregnant soldiers in Iraq, the policy was removed. The policy would’ve pushed a court-martial on any soldier who was pregnant while on duty, or impregnated a soldier on duty. Try explaining that one to civilians, and you see the problem. source

    I think that the General was correct. These people are not civilians, and are all volunteer, so why is it so awful to expect them
    to put their mission and their country first. They were not drafted into the military. They all joined of their own accord, to serve
    and protect the United States of America. If this conduct is tolerated, there will be severe dammage to the armed services to
    be able to perform the missions assigned to them. Actually this whole problem largely came about when they put the men and
    women together as they do now.
