U.S., World: In Mexico, swine flu is not funny. In fact, it’s scary.

School’s been cancelled. People have been told to stay away from places with lots of people. Panic has set in. *deep breath* source

wow, how did this spread all the way to NYC so fast? That reminds me, I think now would be a good time to increase my daily dosage of Vitamin C and any other kind of immune system booster I can find

The 22 month old who died it Texas was from Mexico City, his parents took him to relatives in the USA for treatment. I am an American living in SE Mexico. I believe people wait too long before they asked medical professionals for help and that is why people died at the onset of this flu. Check out the symptoms posted by the CDC and WHO or PAHO and get serious help if you have these symptoms. Also take care not to spread it. That means if your no sick enough to be in the hospital, STAY HOME and don´t spread it! Mexicans are staying home because there are few who can afford day care while their children are out of school (schools are closed till May 6 by government order) so it has put a serious crimp in the spread of this flu, Thank God!
