Tech: Windows 7: Still expensive, but cheaper than Vista

  • $119 The price the average consumer will pay to upgrade to the Home Edition from Windows XP or Vista; the most expensive package – a new version of Ultimate – costs $319
  • 10% The decrease in prices for Windows 7 from Windows Vista – which is nice, but Apple’s Mac OSX Snow Leopard will only cost $29 for most consumers to upgrade source
