Myspace is the geocities of todays internet. I can support this claim quite easily.

Geocities: Animated Gifs, Useless pages with mostly useless information, and .midi or .wav files playing without any warning whatsoever.

Myspace: Animated gifs full of glitter and sparkes telling you "Happy Monday!", mostly useless personal information that you don't care about, music playing in the background you never asked for.

Yeah, just updated geocities, nothing more.

It's interesting but kind of retarded. I don't use MySpace because I don't want to see big, obnoxious, glittering graphics while being bombarded with songs I don't want to listen to on every page. Facebook is simply a less intrusive, more streamlined website that appeals to my taste, not because there are uneducated poor people on MySpace. If I don't deal with them in life, why should I do it on the internet?
