Twitter would’ve picked it up, it would’ve been rumored about on blogs for weeks (Think Progress might’ve grabbed it), then a couple of citizen journalists would crunch some numbers discovered by the Sunlight Foundation, Ed Schultz might’ve given it a passing mention on his show … then Woodward and Bernstein would’ve noticed.
