Rick Perry hires Tim Pawlenty’s ad guy: Tim Pawlenty didn’t have a lot going for him in the 2012 race, but one thing that was a definite ace in the hole was his ultra-over-the top campaign ads, which evoked the ultra-over-the-top movies of Michael Bay. Now that Pawlenty’s out, guess who hired Lucas Baiano, the guy who made all those ads? That’s right, Rick Perry. Watch his first creation above. What do you think?

Tim Pawlenty may no longer be running for president, but his influence on the race continues to be felt. If you don’t believe us, check out this new Ron Paul commercial, which mimics Pawlenty’s wonderful Michael Bay-style campaign ads. Paul’s take is admittedly a bit more toned-down, but the general approach is the same—trick young (or disengaged) voters into thinking they’re watching a movie trailer, then flip it on ‘em and start pitching the candidate. This ad appeals to electability, making the spurious claim that only Ron Paul can defeat President Obama in the general election. It’s an attempt to widen his appeal, which is devoted (to say the least), but still rather narrow. source

Scour the Internet, America!
Tim Pawlenty challenged viewers to find an economic plan from President Obama on the web. If you find one, he promises to come to your house and cook you dinner.
When Pawlenty was asked about criticizing Michele Bachmann for her migraines, he said the only headache to question is the headache the President has caused.
Someone is better prepped since the New Hampshire debate.
I want Pad Thai, as spicy as you can make it. So spicy it makes my diarhea burn on the exit.
I have a feeling Tim Pawlenty will be cooking alot of dinner in the near future.
The real question: Will Pawlenty’s idea of cooking dinner be reminiscent of Epic Meal Time?

Pawlenty’s response: If you can’t see that as effective leadership … “Please stop, because you’re killing us.” Pawlenty is pulling out the ice burns tonight. A huge change from the last debate, where he pulled punches. (see DC Decoder for more)
