It refers to the amalgamation of different cultures into a dominant one (ie: melting pot) vs. the cexistance of different cultures separately (salad bowl...with different veggies)... I hope that sort of makes sense xD

WOW. Santorum just accused Paul of blaming America for 9/11 in a blog post yesterday. We’ll have a fact check on this later. Paul didn’t exactly deny it in his response, and drew some of his first boos of the night.
Ron Paul points out that there’s a difference between defense spending and military spending. This distinction isn’t often referenced in political discourse; Paul thinks we should cut the latter but not the former.
