Know how we know Borders is pretty much going to hell in a handbasket? Because we keep getting e-mails like this one. And seeing photos like this one. Could you imagine? 80 percent off a book? That’s desperation. (Also, we’ve been in this Borders; it’s pretty much the most depressing place in the world right now, with giant yellow and red signs everywhere, as if Fred Phelps had picked out the color decor. We also frequented this Borders pre-bankruptcy, by the way.)
