On paying it forward at Starbucks

joproducts said: really? people with money helping other people with money- amazing?

» SFB says: You know what would melt your cold heart? A macchiato.

Seriously, though, I’ve seen a few comments like this about the Starbucks post, and I just wanted to say: It’s not world peace. It’s not going to change the world. It’s a small act of kindness. Spend too much time looking at it with a big magnifying glass, and you’ll go dizzy. What’s wrong with appreciating something on its own terms, anyway? — Ernie @ SFB

lonelysandwich says: PLEASE DON’T PUBLISH THIS ASK. I see now that your readers thought I was seriously offended. I thought that by cribbing some tongue-in-cheek sickburns from Will Sasso and Rob Huebel, I was making it clear that I was not actually hurt, in the feelings or the butt. I actually don’t mind when people see beard patterns in my work. I just hope the products look good around the beards. Again, please don’t publish this, Ernie. It will be really embarrassing for me. I am counting on you. Love, Adam.
