We don’t, in a sensible world, want to hand on an increasingly dysfunctional world to our grandchildren, to leave them with the real problem. I don’t want to be confronted by my future grandchild and (have) them say: ‘Why didn’t you do something?’

Kate Middleton’s first solo public speech overshadowed by her dress
Duchess of Cambridge spoke about a new children’s hospice: Her three-minute speech was “faultless — made with a slow but measured delivery.” Although she appeared to be nervous at first, she “delivered her maiden speech slowly and carefully, sticking precisely to her script, without any ad-libs.” The details of her speech made the news but so did what she wore. Perhaps what female speakers wear is a trivial detail for the media to focus on, but Middleton’s dress happens to be borrowed from her mother’s closet.  source

A British defense source • Regarding Prince Harry’s return to combat. Prince Harry is returning to duty with the Royal Air Force shortly. No one is sure when his four-month tour begins, but he’ll be working with the unit with the highest “kill rate” while it was in Afghanistan. source (viafollow)
