A sampling of some of Gage Skidmore’s photos, hand-picked by the photog. In case you missed it, earlier today we did a quick profile on the teenage photographer, who has kept Flickr awash in Creative Commons photos of GOP politicians — especially Ron and Rand Paul. Which one’s your favorite?

The establishment folks in Washington, D.C., they’re in the bubble and they see the world very, very differently than we do and I think most Americans do. And we’re going to continue to go out and try to elect conservatives to the presidency and that’s what we’re focused on.
Rick Santorum • Responding to political types suggesting he should drop out, days before the Wisconsin primary. Santorum says he’s in it until Mitt Romney clearly has enough delegates to win — something that likely won’t happen until June, based on how things are going so far. Romney just won another endorsement, this time from Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson (no relation), a show of support that has Santorum on the defensive.

“We’re here today, and he’s not.” Rick Santorum appeared outside of the Supreme Court on Monday, after oral arguments for the upcoming Affordable Care Act hearing. Santorum claimed that he was the only candidate capable of repealing Obama’a health care law, saying that even if Mitt Romney wanted to, “he won’t have the mandate through the course of this campaign.” (Mitt’s staff has refuted this.) We guess he forgot Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul were still running.

Senator Santorum is becoming increasingly shrill as his campaign hopes fade. It’s important that all Republicans keep their focus on President Obama because if we want to repeal Obamacare we need to defeat him first.
Romney spokesman Ryan Williams • In an email to Politico, responding to Rick Santorum’s claim that he is the one person capable of ensuring that “Obamacare” is repealed. Santorum appeared outside of  the Supreme Court on Monday,  after oral arguments for the upcoming hearing on the Affordable Care Act, in an effort to  bolster his image as an opponent of President Obama’s signature legislation. source (viafollow)

I’m not running as a conservative candidate for President, I am a conservative candidate for President.
Rick Santorum, in his victory speech today after being declared winner of the Louisiana GOP Primary. He also mocked, as he has with great aplomb, the “Etch-a-Sketch” gaffe by the Romney campaign.

The polls will be closing in the Louisiana GOP Primary in a few minutes, and we’ll be covering the results — polls leading up to today would suggest that tonight will bring a big win to Rick Santorum, which as the delegate math tilts increasingly against his favor, he desperately needs. (Photo by hjl)

Santorum’s not going to get to a majority; I’m probably going to come in third in terms of total delegates. But the question is until Romney has an aboslute majority, I don’t think anybody’s inclined to give him the nomination.
Newt Gingrich • Basically admitting he’s going to lose the nomination, but saying he’s going to keep fighting until the bitter end to try to stop Mitt Romney from winning the nomination. “The question is can he put together a majority of delegates before he runs out of primaries on June 26,” Gingrich asks. The answer to that question is basically this: Maybe he will, if Gingrich insists on staying in, preventing Santorum from properly playing spoiler.

We need a candidate who’s going to be a fighter for freedom. Who’s going to get up and make that the central theme in this race because it is the central theme in this race. I don’t care what the unemployment rate’s going to be. Doesn’t matter to me. My campaign doesn’t hinge on unemployment rates and growth rates. It’s something more foundational that’s going on.
Rick Santorum • Misjudging what the central theme of the race is.
