  • 5 New Jersey mayors have threatened to refuse to provide police and emergency service for next year’s Super Bowl, slated to be held in MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands. Said Seacaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli: “The stadium… has done little to help offset any costs for the surrounding communities when larger events occur… there is little doubt that the mayors will be expecting a call that their services are needed. The answer will be clear. Don’t ask.” source
