According to an AP report, the wreckage of a plane that was carrying Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera, amongst others, has been found. The wire service says there are no survivors. The L.A. Times reports that Rivera was a quickly-rising star who had recently scored success with a reality television show. She was reportedly in consideration for a television pilot for ABC — which would have given her an English-language crossover. Rivera was 43. (Reed Saxon/AP)
UPDATE: According to Mexican Transportation and Communications Minister Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, “There is nothing recognizable, neither material nor human, in the wreckage.”
