That was quick: There’s already a Twitter account dedicated to the $10,000 bet Mitt Romney offered Rick Perry. See, Mitt? Bad idea.

You can’t have a debate without saying 999 in a debate.
Michele Bachmann • Bringing up the ghost of Herman Cain again, mentioning her new “Win Win Win” plan in the process. Does she think that’s going to bring her back in the polls again?

“Congressman Paul got me interested in the Federal Reserve.”
Yeah, it turns out it’s this place and they can just like make money there. I mean, goddamn!

Ahahahahaha.

Rick Santorum really likes Newt Gingrich: He just admitted that he was inspired to run for Congress in part because of Gingrich’s tapes back in the late ’80s. Guess we know who he’s voting for.

Second favorite tweet of the night, in reference to Mitt Romney repeatedly bringing up Benjamin Netanyahu by calling him “Bibi.” Oh, Bibi.

This president is the problem, not something that Newt Gingrich said.
Rick Perry • Putting a nice bow on the ribbon that was the debate over Newt Gingrich’s Palestine comments. To a degree, yes, but considering Israel/Palestine has become such a large issue for conservatives, that’s not entirely true.

Newt Gingrich’s been getting grilled on a statement he made about Palestinians being an “invented” people — which he held up under heavy criticism. The initial statement, in case you missed it: “Remember, there was no Palestine as a state - (it was) part of the Ottoman Empire. I think we have an invented Palestinian people who are in fact Arabs and historically part of the Arab community and they had the chance to go many places.”
