Apple wants to shake this massive bill, but can’t
What costs Apple $1,100 per hour but the company can’t do anything about? Easy: The fee that the company’s getting charged by a court-compliance monitor after it lost an eBook lawsuit earlier this year. Michael Bromwich and his team have cost the company $138,432.40 over just two weeks, which is so insane that the company has said that they’ve never had an individual cost this high. Apple’s pushing back in court, though for his part, Bromwich says his fee (which allows him to make what’s a yearly salary for many people in the span of a 40-hour week) is reasonable.
