The main dorms on the main campus will not allow any concealed-carry weapons.
University of Colorado at Boulder spokesman Bronson Hilliard • Describing the University’s response to a March ruling by the state’s Supreme Court, striking down the college’s on-campus gun ban. In response, CU plans to establish housing for students with permits to carry concealed weapons, which less than 1% of the student body, per campus, is believed to have – “separate but packing,” anyone? The concealed carry crowd can still hang out in the general dorms, to be clear, but they’d have to check in their gun with campus police before doing so. Said Kurt Mueller, director of strategy for Students for Concealed Carry: ”We’re going to look into it further, but it’s not surprising that the campuses are trying to circumvent the Colorado Supreme Court ruling.” source (via • follow)
