Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare flesh under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack.
A “wardrobe advisory” from CBS • Warning performers and attendees at the 2013 Grammy awards that they don’t want a wardrobe malfunction on Sunday night. The Grammy Awards have had a history of revealing clothing in recent years, and CBS has had a history of protracted legal battles as a result of pop stars’ wardrobe malfunctions. (The 2004 Super Bowl, which featured Janet Jackson’s infamous moment, aired on CBS.)

This one’s for inothernews: ”Before Alex Steinweiss invented the album cover in 1938, at the age of 23, all albums came in plain brown wrappers,” the synopsis of the graphic designer’s biography says. “That simple idea revolutionized the record business and spawned an entire new field of illustration-album cover art-that is now inseparable.” I did a paper on Alex Steinweiss for one of my classes, and found him to be one of my biggest design inspirations in college. He’s up there with Paul Rand and Saul Bass for me. — Ernie @ SFB

It’s really hard to accept this award, there’s a lot of talent on this stage and there’s a lot of talent that also isn’t here. It’s also hard to accept because when I start doing this I did it for the inherent joy of making music … So I’m a little bit uncomfortable up here, but with that discomfort I do have a sense of gratitude. I want to say thank you to all the nominees and all the non-nominees who aren’t here and will never be here … I also want to say thanks to all the voters, sweet hookup.
Bon Iver wins for Best New Artist at the Grammys, and Justin Vernon thanks all the folks who will never get the opportunity he got tonight. Love it.
