Skipping tonight’s debate. Mental health reasons. Can only listen to so much Mitt vs. Newt. Watch here, tho.
New drinking game: Take a shot every time Newt says “dramatically.” Warning: You might die. #GOPdebate #SCdebate #CNNdebate #teabate

Late to the #scdebate party. Has Newt suggested swinging with anyone in the audience yet?

Newt yells at John King, calls him “close to despicable.”True.King is standing very close to Gingrich. #cnndebate

Mitt: “I agreed, I think, with what you just said.” This could be his campaign slogan. #scdebate

I miss Rick Perry. This is like watching an episode of Friends with no Phoebe. #cnndebate

We’re with Andy. We still miss Herman Cain for some reason.
Here’s the link itself to the album. Hover your mouse in the right-hand corner of each image to download the card. As always, submit your card here or via email to meglanker@gmail.com. GIF prizes awarded for the most bingos on one card, first bingo, most bingos across all cards, and blackouts (Note: Can lead to alcohol-related blackouts).
What better way to celebrate a day named for Martin Luther King, Jr. than to watch a bunch of old rich white men discuss how they’ll “save” America? Now with the only adult on stage *cough* Jon Huntsman *cough* out of the race, I’m sure it’ll be interesting. Will Newt finally vanquish Romney with his mind lasers? Will Perry strike out on an adventure by counting to our? Watch it and see!
These cards are also good for the CNN debate on Thursday night. I’m only going to change them if someone else drops out.
Live-stream for the Fox News debate is here. I’ll be live-blogging the debate @meglanker on Twitter.
Spread the word and good luck! Remember, we all lose at GOP Bingo, so let’s lose together.
I’m vehemently avoiding the thought that any one of these candidates is more than likely to tout Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy while simultaneously partaking in gratuitous warmongering and/or bashing programs the civil rights leader would have fought for.
We sadly have to miss tonight’s debate (just got off a plane) but we’ll be all over Thursday’s debate like Bain Capital on a toxic property.
» Where to watch: We’ll be liveblogging tonight’s debate with the help of our buddies at DC Decoder, as well as a few friends. Fox News has a live feed going on over here, along with live polls and other cool stuff. And follow our posts over here!
Then there are the candidates who have pinned all their hopes in Iowa: Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Rick Perry.
To recap, here’s a post from CBS News on what to watch for in tonight’s GOP debate, the final one before the Jan. 3 Iowa caucus. In short, watch for Romney getting more feisty, Gingrich being attacked, and the other five holding on for dear life, trying to make a good impression before the first caucus.
I’ll be hanging with ShortFormBlog, which is liveblogging the debate along with DC Decoder. Watch for updates here and on my other Tumblr dedicated solely to the election (that one is in German). (via curiousontheroad)
Oh yeah, our friend Jessica will be helping out tonight. Hooray!
You can’t have a debate without saying 999 in a debate.Michele Bachmann • Bringing up the ghost of Herman Cain again, mentioning her new “Win Win Win” plan in the process. Does she think that’s going to bring her back in the polls again?
Second favorite tweet of the night, in reference to Mitt Romney repeatedly bringing up Benjamin Netanyahu by calling him “Bibi.” Oh, Bibi.
» It only takes two to tango: The Newsmax-hosted, Donald Trump-moderated Republican debate later this month will feature only Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, as Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann have all declined to attend. This is somewhat embarrassing for Trump and Gingrich, although Santorum could stand to benefit from going toe-to-toe with this month’s frontrunner. Question: Was Gary Johnson, who always complains about not being invited to these things, invited?
It’s that time again, folks! Tonight we’ll be providing coverage of the GOP presidential debate along with DC Decoder — we’ll also be participating in a livechat of the momentous evening — a CNN joint based in DC and moderated by Wolf “colossal dork” Blitzer — to boot. The stakes are rather high this evening; Newt Gingrich storms into tonight’s debate as the polling frontrunner, despite recent revelations of his high-paid work for Freddie Mac. As these revelations haven’t yet registered in any painful way for Newt, a strong debate performance tonight could vault him even higher in the esteem of the anti-Mitt contingent. Which is not to say he’s the only candidate with a lot on the line; tonight’s debate is on foreign policy, a topic on which Herman Cain has recently floundered (and how). It’s impossible to say what exactly will happen tonight, but we bet it will be damn compelling viewing. And for those of you who want a break from these debates, we promise this is the last one … for roughly three weeks. (Photo by Gage Skidmore)
