Skipping tonight’s debate. Mental health reasons. Can only listen to so much Mitt vs. Newt. Watch here, tho.

GOP Debate bingo for Jan. 16th and Jan. 19th

Here’s the link itself to the album. Hover your mouse in the right-hand corner of each image to download the card. As always, submit your card here or via email to meglanker@gmail.com. GIF prizes awarded for the most bingos on one card, first bingo, most bingos across all cards, and blackouts (Note: Can lead to alcohol-related blackouts).

What better way to celebrate a day named for Martin Luther King, Jr. than to watch a bunch of old rich white men discuss how they’ll “save” America? Now with the only adult on stage *cough* Jon Huntsman *cough* out of the race, I’m sure it’ll be interesting. Will Newt finally vanquish Romney with his mind lasers? Will Perry strike out on an adventure by counting to our? Watch it and see!

These cards are also good for the CNN debate on Thursday night. I’m only going to change them if someone else drops out.

Live-stream for the Fox News debate is here. I’ll be live-blogging the debate @meglanker on Twitter.

Spread the word and good luck! Remember, we all lose at GOP Bingo, so let’s lose together.

I’m vehemently avoiding the thought that any one of these candidates is more than likely to tout Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy while simultaneously partaking in gratuitous warmongering and/or bashing programs the civil rights leader would have fought for.

We sadly have to miss tonight’s debate (just got off a plane) but we’ll be all over Thursday’s debate like Bain Capital on a toxic property.

Evidence this is a New Hampshire debate: We’ve spent like five minutes talking about a heating-oil program. Romney suggests sending programs that make more sense for certain parts of the country, like heating subsidies, back to the states.

Then there are the candidates who have pinned all their hopes in Iowa: Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Rick Perry.

To recap, here’s a post from CBS News on what to watch for in tonight’s GOP debate, the final one before the Jan. 3 Iowa caucus. In short, watch for Romney getting more feisty, Gingrich being attacked, and the other five holding on for dear life, trying to make a good impression before the first caucus.

I’ll be hanging with ShortFormBlog, which is liveblogging the debate along with DC Decoder. Watch for updates here and on my other Tumblr dedicated solely to the election (that one is in German). (via curiousontheroad)

Oh yeah, our friend Jessica will be helping out tonight. Hooray!

You can’t have a debate without saying 999 in a debate.
Michele Bachmann • Bringing up the ghost of Herman Cain again, mentioning her new “Win Win Win” plan in the process. Does she think that’s going to bring her back in the polls again?

Second favorite tweet of the night, in reference to Mitt Romney repeatedly bringing up Benjamin Netanyahu by calling him “Bibi.” Oh, Bibi.

Michele Bachmann got a solid point in when she brought up Newt’s support of a Romneycare-style individual mandate. Romney’s response? “I know Newt Gingrich, and he is a friend of mine … but we are not clones, I promise.” Some good one-liners from Romney tonight.
