In other words, Google totally overruled NASCAR in the case, which, according to PaidContent’s Mathew Ingram, is relatively rare, as Google often has little recourse in such cases due to the way the Digital Millennium Copyright Act works. “The fact that Google acted quickly to put the content back up is admirable,” he explains, “but it shouldn’t have to do this, and there are no doubt many other important cases in which it hasn’t that don’t involve something as attention-getting as a race-car crash.” Daytona International Speedway, meanwhile, managed to repair the damaged section of fence in time for Sunday’s race.
