Damon Chase, former lawyer to ex-Florida GOP chairman Jim Greer, has lobbed a number of accusations at former governor Charlie Crist, who served from 2003 to 2007. He claims Crist is a closeted homosexual (this isn’t the first time he’s faced this suggestion) who paid off two men to leave the state, so to keep his orientation secret. He also claims Crist once tried to kiss Greer in a Beverly Hills hotel, and was prone to alcohol, in one instance attempting to run people over while drunkenly driving a golf cart. Crist has dismissed the talk as “a bunch of delusional lies” — the info was given to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation into possible corruption by Jim Greer during his time running the Florida GOP.
