It was not my bill…The Legislature passed it. I didn’t have anything to do with passing it.
Florida Governor Rick Scott, insisting to his state’s Legislative Black Caucus that he isn’t responsible for the voter ID laws the state passed in 2011. Of course, Scott signed the bill into law, and his administration spent more than $500,000 defending it in court once it became law, so this is a spurious claim, to put it nicely. In other news, a new poll suggests trouble for Scott when he runs for reelection next year. source

Each of those guys will be taking part in the webcast the group will use to launch its platform: “Not left. Not right. Forward.” We expect the partisans (on both sides) to dismiss this crazy idea in 3 … 2 … 1 … source

  • yes Marco Rubio will be Florida’s next Senator – and like everyone thought, Charlie Crist and Kendrick Meek split the vote.
  • no Christine O’Donnell didn’t win; Chris Coons coasted to an easy victory in Delaware. So why did Gawker post that story again? source

  • what Bill Clinton asked Florida Democrat Kendrick Meek to drop out of his Senate race – twice.
  • why Meek is splitting the vote with indie kid Charlie Crist, meaning Marco Rubio is gonna win.
  • reaction Meek apparently agreed – twice – and then changed his mind both times. Fail. source
