» What We Know: The Palo Alto home was burglarized on July 17, though most major outlets did not report the news until this morning, and follows a drastic increase in Bay Area burglaries. Police have a suspect in custody, 35-year-old Kariem McFarlin, currently being held on $500,000 bail and scheduled to appear in court August 20 to enter a plea. He faces a maximum sentence of seven years and eight months in prison. Authorities have not disclosed whether the stolen items belonged to Jobs or a relative, and all questions regarding the case are being referred to the district attorney’s office.

He then took the 1949 painting off the wall, threw it in a bag and fled the scene. source
It’s the kind of quiet neighborhood where you know when someone is out of place. Sioux Falls police believe while families here were on a relaxing holiday vacation, their paper carrier was rummaging through their homes.
“Some stolen goods were found in pawn shops. They had been pawned already. That gave a particular name,” Sioux Falls Police Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said.

PITTSBURGH — An 18-year-old Pittsburgh man is accused of burglarizing a market with three teens, then posting pictures on his Facebook page showing the suspects mugging with some of the loot. Not long after the woman taped this video, she was sexually assaulted. A 28-year-old Oakland, Calif. resident recorded video of the man shown here brazenly breaking into her home, stealing her electronics, and then, after she was done recording, coming back to assault her. And now, in hopes of catching the perpetrator, the Oakland Police Department released a video of the man stealing her stuff. “She was very much behind the release of the video,” said Oakland Police Officer Holly Joshi. ”She wants justice, she wants the public to be aware of this man so this doesn’t happen to another woman.” Here’s the video for you guys, in case you might know anything about this mess. source
