Pretty soon you’ll be able to print your 3D projects at the local Staples.
A new service called “Staples Easy 3D” will allow customers to upload their designs to Staples’ website, then pick up the printed objects at their local office supply megastore, or have them shipped to their home or business — not unlike the photo- and document-printing service the company already offers.
The project was announced today at Euromold 2012 by 3-D printer manufacturer Mcor Technologies, who is partnering with Staples to provide its new Iris printers for the service.
An interesting decision, though one we suspect will work out for the company based on the increasing popularity of 3D printing thanks to companies like MakerBot Industries. Between this and the introduction of more Dunder Mifflin office supplies, we think we might be spending a little more time at this particular office supply chain in the future.
A bus carrying a Belgian school party home from a ski trip crashed into the wall of a tunnel in Switzerland late on Tuesday, killing 28 people, mostly children.
Distraught parents, many of whom still did not know if their children were among the 22 pupils killed, gathered at a school in Belgium to be flown to Switzerland on military aircraft.
The bus, transporting 52 people, mostly children aged about 12 from the towns of Lommel and Heverlee in Belgium’s Dutch-speaking Flanders region, crashed in the Swiss canton of Valais at 9:15 p.m.(2015 GMT).
A police photograph showed the bus rammed up against the side of a tunnel, the front ripped open, broken glass and debris strewn on the road and rescue workers climbing in through side windows.

Jesus Christ. There were kids in that bus. Could not imagine what the parents are going through right now.
I don’t think I have the qualities to be a good European Commission or European Council President.French President Nicolas Sarkozy • Responding to a reporter’s question about his political future at an EU summit in Brussels, Belgium. The French president’s future came into question because, with elections next month and polls showing him in second, it’s possible this could be his last appearance at an EU summit. » A woman’s body discovered in a storage facility: As investigators continue to figure out what led Nordine Amrani to cause such a rampage, a new discovery added a layer of confusion around the incident. The woman, who reportedly worked as a cleaner, was found in a story facility that Amrani once used to grow large quantities of marijuana, which he previously went to jail for. A significant number of weapons were found at the facility and at Amrani’s home. However, officials were careful to say that he had no apparent ties to terror groups, a definite fear in the region months after the deadly mass shooting in Norway.
The man previously went to jail for firearm possession: In the Belgian city of Liege, at least four people have died and another 75 have been injured — including an 18-month-old boy — as the result of a domestic terror attack, in which a man on the roof of a building fired upon a crowd using an automatic weapon and threw a handful of grenades in the process. The man, Nordine Amrani, had previously gone to jail for firearm possession. After the attack, the gunman killed himself. “It was quite incredible,” said Greg Ienco, a journalist who witnessed the deadly attack. ”We saw one man on the roof who tried to kill people. This man killed himself with a grenade.” Prosecutors say he didn’t have any ties to terrorist groups. source
