hahaha it looks so stupid in EVERY FONT

I don’t like to think of this movie as jOBS, Nick. I like to think of it as “Kutcher in the Rye.”

Ashton Kutcher to star in indie film about Steve Jobs’ life: Surprisingly, although this story was originally published on Sunday by Variety, this isn’t an elaborate April Fools’ joke. The film, “Jobs,” will cover the Apple co-founder’s life from the 1970s to the ’90s. Maybe this casting decision makes sense, seeing as Kutcher is one of the more technologically profound members of Hollywood. source

I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him. He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself.
Richard Branson • Revealing Ashton Kutcher will be one of the first people to fly in space on his Virgin Galactic spacecraft, at a cost of $200,000 a pop. We’ll leave it to you to make a Charlie Sheen joke here.

Why Ashton Kutcher’s brain fart shouldn’t become the story
As you might know, Ashton Kutcher learned the hard way that you don’t tweet about major news stories without reading about them first. But being the guy with more followers than everyone else, his room for error is surprisingly small, leading to two things: 1) Heavy coverage of the story, including his own New York Post cover for some reason and 2) Kutcher giving up his ability to tweet on the fly to the social media arm of his company. Now, given that that’s a drastic move, some are trying to talk Kutcher off the new-media cliff, most notably Techcrunch’s Alexia Tsotsis:

I’ve never particularly been a fan of Kutcher, but I’m a pretty big fan of self-expression, even if you screw up big time. The most brilliant people are totally hated yo. Ashton, it’s not your fault that Twitter, and society, wasn’t prepared for such a disparate “one to many” ratio. So even if you were stupid and pressed send too soon, there is no Facebook or Twitter post you can’t recover from. So do it, please. You owe all those people who pressed ‘Follow’ under a certain pretense at least that.

But back up a second. Aren’t there, like, bigger fish to fry than this, considering what happened? For a TV star to outshine the worst scandal in college sports history on the eighth-largest paper in the country? That’s just wrong, friends. It distracts from the real issue here — which is what happened, and how to prevent it from happening again. Let’s focus on what happened. Not Ashton.

“Two & a Half Men” not so bad without Charlie Sheen
Ashton Kutcher didn’t bomb during premiere? According to USA Today, the introduction of his new character to “Two and A Half Men” was nearly seamless. Sure, they had to start with a funeral for Charlie Sheen’s legacy, but the show picked up with the same tone as before. Whether or not that’s a good thing, we’re still not sure of. source

  • nice When asked to react to news that Ashton Kutcher would replace Sheen on “Two and a Half Men,” he had this to say: ”Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer.” And he has way more followers than Charlie.
  • not-so-nice However, Chuckie had more to say to the producers of the show. “Enjoy the show, America. Enjoy seeing a 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB,” he said. Hear that? That’s the sound of a man with a chip on his shoulder. source

We just found the most useless slideshow in online news history
Mila Kunis. Ashton Kutcher. Topher Grace. Most of the cast of “That ’70s Show” is still famous and in the news enough that a “Where are They Now?” slideshow isn’t really necessary. But that didn’t stop CNN from making one. The only real surprise is the very last one. source
