Abdel Fattah Younes, Libyan political icon: As we reported earlier, the leader of Libya’s rebel forces, who played turncoat very publicly a few months ago only to lead to speculation that was actually on Gaddafi’s side all along, was killed. Al Jazeera English put together a pretty good roundup of his life, shown above. He was a suitably complex figure — pretty much the only guy who could be called Gaddafi’s right-hand man for four decades and ”one of the heroes of the 17th of February revolution.”
