LA Unified School District settles over Miramonte Elementary sex abuse

$30M settlement reached between the Los Angeles Unified School District and parents of children attending Miramonte Elementary School, the site of horrific sexual abuse charges against former teacher Mark Berndt. The settlement omes in response to 58 different legal claims; each family will receive approximately $470,000. source
