If you could charge people for not being decent human beings, a lot of people could have been charged that night.
Steubenville, Oh. Police Chief William McCafferty • Commenting on the alleged rape and kidnapping carried out by high school football players in the small Ohio town back in August. Trent Mays (16) and Ma’lik Richmond (16) stand accused of sexually assaulting an unidentified 16-year-old female while dozens of nearby students documented the crimes on Facebook, Instagram, and other social outlets. The case has divided the small town, with some critical of the student while others insisting that Steubenville’s football culture has become undeniably dangerous. source
