The question of why the shooter, identified by police to have been 20-year-old Adam Lanza, chose to perform this unspeakable crime will understandly dominate the public’s attention, but we urge caution pending official investigations like the one listed above. As highlighted in Dave Cullen’s Columbine, initial impressions and narratives about motive formed after tragedies like these can prove quite erroneous. source
