‘Lincoln’ leads Golden Globe movie nominations with 7 bids
AP: Civil War drama “Lincoln” leads the Golden Globes with 7 nominations, including best drama and best director, along with acting honors for Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones.
“Argo,” “Django Unchained,” “Life of Pi,” and “Zero Dark Thirty” are also nominated in the drama category.
Nominees for best musical or comedy are: “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,” “Les Miserables,” “Moonrise Kingdom,” “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen,” and “Silver Linings Playbook.”

“Salmon Fishing in the Yemen” sounds like the name of a really good backpacker-rap mixtape, but no, it’s actually about salmon fishing in the Yemen. Somewhat of a surprise nod, but “Moonrise Kingdom” (or “Silver Linings Playbook”) should beat it easily. (BTW: Worth noting that Bill Murray got a nod for “Hyde Park on Hudson,” so DDL doesn’t hold a monopoly on the presidential beat.)
