Cowboys’ Jerry Brown dies in car accident, teammate Josh Brent charged

Cowboys linebacker Jerry Brown has died in an early morning car crash, and Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent has been charged with intoxication manslaughter in Brown’s death.

The police department in Irving, Texas, has confirmed that Brown died in a crash early this morning and Brent (whose legal name is Josh Price-Brent) was charged.

A tough day in the NFL, as yet another untimely death has rattled a team and community, following Jovan Belcher’s horrible murder/suicide last week. Brown, pictured above, had been friends with Brent since their college days at Illinois, years before being reunited on the Dallas Cowboys roster.
