Fighting in Syrian border city sparks mass exodus to Turkey

  • 8000 refugees fled from the Syrian border city of Ras Ayn into Turkey on Friday, their home beset by fighting and largely taken over by the Syrian rebellion, according to officials. Many escaping through intense fighting, gunfire and shells, this surge represents the biggest single-day number of people fleeing the conflict in Syria since it began, back in March of 2011. source
