- 68th For his third time hosting, Ricky did a wonderful job. And then rumors started flying that he would be fired after his performance. “That’s ominous, isn’t it?” he asked OK! Magazine, when he hadn’t been asked to return for the 69th show yet. “So I probably won’t be here next year.”
- 67th This marked the second time that Ricky hosted the award show; in 2008, the year before, the Golden Globes saw the worst ratings since 1995. This was probably because those Globes were pretty much cancelled due to the writers’ strike. So, this might be, technically, the first time we really saw Ricky host the awards.
