Danny Boyle unveils plans for 2012 Olympic opening ceremony

First Look: Boyle, the director of “Slumdog Millionaire” and “Trainspotting,” plans to simulate the countryside, even going so far as to include live animals in the show, and will also feature a village cricket team, the world’s largest harmonically tuned bell, and a model of Glastonbury Tor. In honor of the Glastonbury festival, cancelled this year because of the Olympics, Boyle also plans to have mosh pits at both ends of the arena.
