The team will make an official announcement once she meets with members of the team later Wednesday. Summitt, who won an NCAA record (for either gender) 1,098 games during her head coaching career, will remain on the team’s coaching staff as “head coach emeritus” (allowing her to work as she can, given her condition), but will hand the reins over to assistant Holly Warlick.
