In D.C., two former Metro workers just pleaded guilty to stealing nearly half a million dollars in loose change from the system's fare machines, and using their ill-gotten quarters, dimes and nickels to buy lottery tickets.

Today in stories which would’ve made good “Seinfeld” plots back in 1994.
