The tone of this debate is markedly different from the previous ones. I don’t know whether it’s because Charlie Rose is moderating or because the candidates are seated around a table, but the crowd is silent and the candidates appear much more serious. 

Second and third this. It’s amazingly quiet and you feel like it’s much more in control than any of the prior debates. The questions are much punchier and not all the candidates have to weigh in on every little thing, which makes it move much, much faster.

Also, it’s a lot more boring so far. Which is probably for the best; these things are supposed to be informative ways to learn more about the candidates and their positions, not the sensationalist game shows they often end up becoming.
