Music: Chris Brown finally speaks out on allegations

  • Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.
  • Chris Brown • Through his spokesman, in response to the allegations that he hit his girlfriend, Rihanna, last weekend. He didn’t say much else, except to note that he didn’t say anything on his Facebook page about the charges. • source

Well, he successfully killed his career. Carrying a gun, cheating on a spouse, and being convicted of insider trading is one thing… But domestic violence is something that no one can truly forgive or forget. Sponsors won’t come back because they’ll be alienating 50% of their potential consumers. And women, who buy most of his albums will also stop… How many concerts do you think he’ll sell out now.

He’s going to have to come up with a good story (insanity because he stopped taking meds for some undisclosed condition?) and do a whole lot of damage control.
