- If you set it to 10, that means that the output pitch will get halfway to the target pitch in 10 milliseconds. But if you let that parameter go to zero, it finds the nearest note and changes the output pitch instantaneously. I never figured anyone in their right mind would want to do that.

designers never have a good idea of anticipating how their devices can be used for musically…the innovation is always beyond the presets and paradoxical to the supposed purpose. the roland 303 was supposed to emulate acoustic bass lines for rock musicians, and it ended up causing acid house. what are you gonna do? 808s and heartbreak, by the way, i have decided is a certifiable oddball visionary classic.
