This comment isn’t for this particular entry, but about the direction of the site as a whole. I’ve really been enjoying this site however, I’ve noticed an increasing editorial tone. I found this site more enjoyable and unique when it wasn’t as opinionated! Just my humble opinion. Otherwise, really enjoying the manner in which things are presented here!

Hey, I just wanted to respond to this just to emphasize that this point isn’t getting ignored. It’s a tough line to balance – it’s always a matter of finding when it’s best to use opinion in posts, but at the same time, it came up a couple of weeks ago in a big debate, and ultimately the line that the site stands on is that it’s never tried to hide from having opinions on things. Now, granted, it mixes that opinion with humor and clever asides, and tries to be straightforward when needed.

I guess the best way to put it is this: If we’re pushing it too hard, let us know.
